Default Kodak Easy-Share DX6340 vs Toshiba PDR-4300

Hello everyone.
I am very new to digi camers, actually I've never owned a camera

After doing some reading and looking around and checking my wallet, i have narrowed my choices down to these two cameras

Kodak Easy-Share DX6340 or Toshiba PDR-4300.

I am hoping someone can help me decide, suggestions of other cameras beside these ones i would be interested in too.

my price range is $300 (canadian)

Thanx!

I have played with both--My father owns the toshiba--and I was looking at the Kodak myself. I don't think very highly of the toshiba. cheap plastic, mediocre optics, etc.
It does very poorly in low light too. For some reason, my dad's--with flash--selects shutter speeds that are too slow for hand-holding. <1/60s. Im certainly no expert, but from I learned in school, anything less than that should not be hand-held. On his camera, indoor flash pictures were always blurry--I would suspect this shutter speed. If that isn't the case, then it just autofocuses VERY poorly. Either way, steer clear.
The kodak is wonderful. It has great optics, great flash, ENGLISH MENUS!!! WOOHOO, and plastic that doesn't look as cheap. I opted for the much more expensive Canon S50, but I was very impressed with the Kodak.
