Default Canon PowerShot S1 IS

Hi all , i am a digital camera newbie I orderd the Canon PowerShot S1 IS mainly for its movie features, I have a question on if I should get the 4gb micro drive will it hold 4 gb of movie recording if i stop and restart at every 1gb?? any help at all on this would be great help I am not sure if i should get seperate 1gb drives or one 4 gb

I'm no expert (I've not even held a CF card in my hand yet) but I think some of that 4 GB will be lost after the "formatting" of the card..
So (I think) neither 4 of 1 GB cards nor 1 of 4 GB card will offer full 4000 MB's..

I suppose/think you just can start of with another clip then you have reached the 1GB limit. Why should you? But someone might have tested it. You could also call canons support, atleast here in sweden it's very easy.

Default Its FAT 32 so you should be able to use all 4 gig

Your camera should recognize 4GIG since its FAT32 however movies are limited I believe to 1GIG each.
