I'm looking to upgrade to something much better. I currently have a kodak dx3600. In the near future I'll have some bones ($$) to drop down on a new camera. Here's what I'm looking for:

--around the $500-600 range (not much more than that, but I can be somewhat flexible)
--as many megapixels as possible (at least 4MP if possible)
--as much optical zoom as possible (6-10X preferred)
--common form of memory preferred (sd or compact flash...something that won't be outdated...something common)
--good video capability
--Good photo quality
--Good macro ability & good macro photo quality

So far the Fuji S7000 has caught my eye. But I've got alot more research to do. I've heard people complain about noise problems and the photo quality not being as good on the S7000. Canon S1 and Nikon Coolpix 5700 are also on my look-see list. Any others I should look into?

Any advice/suggestions?

Thanks!!

Alrighty then...I guess I'll keep researching. Maybe I'll look into the canon d300 now that I'll have a bit more to spend.
