Default Upgrading camera

At the moment I have a Fuji Finepix 2400 Zoom, but want to upgrade to something better. I am looking to spend up to 500 - 600, and at the moment the Fuji 602 Zoom looks to be winning my vote. Anybody out there know of any other cameras I should be looking at (even slightly more expensive)?

In my opinon for the dosh you have made the best decision. My mate recently bought a 602 and it's great.

Try www.ukdigital.co.uk for a good price.

Default Good camera

I just upgraded cameras and I spent several months of research before buying. I bought the same brand of camera that I have always used and am extremely happy with my choice. It sounds like you have done the research. You have been happy with your Fuiji in the past and the Fuiji 602 has an excellent rating from Steve's review. Trust your own judgement and research. Check www.pricescan.com and www.dealtime.com for more competive prices on this camera.

Default 602z

If you liked you 2400 as i had one of those for a while you will love the 602Z as thats what i have now. You will really like having 6x optical zoom compared to 3X the 2400 has. The 602 has real fast focus lock and real fast shot to shot times compared to the 2400. You mite be a little overwhelmed by all the options compared to a 2400 but its not hard to get the hang of the 602, read the manual for sure. The 602 isnt a simple point and shoot camera like the 2400 but it can be set in auto mode and it pretty simple but best results are in other modes.

A friend of mine in India bought the FujiFilm S602z, and was especially happy with it's following 2 features;

1. the camera features a hot shoe that accepts speedlights of independent make and not dependent on dedicated strobes.
2. capable of accepting either of the two medias, the SmartMedia or the CompactFlash.
