Who can help me?

I want to buy a 'Hama datasafe' Thats a portable cd writer where you can straight away make cd from your memory card.

Now I would like to know. If I put a memory in that machine which contains a mpeg4 videoclip. Will this also go directly on a cd andwill I be able to watch thet clip later on my computer without any problems?

Thank you very much

SorryI have no experience with this model but if I was in the same situation I would take a blank cd and a memory card into the store, explain what you wish to acheive, and try it out in the store. if the store cannot give you an answere to your query, and won't let you try out the unit - they don't deserve your money.

Thanks for your reply but it is an on-line store and I haven't bought the camera yet either . But I hoped someone here could help me...

Why I am in such a rush is becouse these are th last few available of the old model. The new model is €100 more it has a dvd reader and is rechargeable. These are features I don't need and that's why I would like to go for this model as I am planning to buy a camera withthe next few month.

Could anyone give me a reason why I shouldn't work?

Thank you,

Ed

Hi Ed,

In general terms, if you copy an mpeg4 to a CD, you should be able to view it later.

If you want to edit it, you will need to copy to your hard drive and remove the "read only" attribute of the file.

Also, I suggest you may want to consult a "techie" in your area.

Good luck
