Default how do I save pix from computer to a CD?

Hello! I must sound really dumb, but I can not figure out how to download my pix to a CD. I just bought a Fuji 3800. I love it! I've got the pix on the computer. I bought some CD-RW discs. My computer has a rewriter. I have copied a CD to a CD before, but I just can't figure this one out. Can anyone help?????

What is the software you were using to copy disk to disk? That software will allow you to write data to disk as well .
I guess you have Easy CD Creator or Nero ( seems the 2 most popular) , I have both installed but prefer Easy CD Creator.

If you have Easy CD Creator:
- Open the Roxio Project Selector
- choose "make data CD", then "Data CD project"
- Put in a new or "used" CDR or CDRW
- If it"s a "used" CD, do not forget to import lastest session ( the actual data on the disk) , existing data should appear now in the lower window.
- browse with the upper window and choose the pics and drag them to the lower windows
- Hit "Write"
That make an "normal" data CD, can be read in any PC.

You have also the choice to make a "Direct CD" , with a CDRW disk, which after formating (takes time ), give you a disk that presents as a read/write drive ( as a harddisk) , so you can drag and drop whatever files you want , like any other drives ( but slower of course).
But this "Direct CD" can be read only by PC with appropriate software installed ( forgot what they called this)

PS: oh, if your computer isn't that recent, it may happen that your CD-writer can write only CDR ( the write once type) but not the CDRW ( write , erase, rewrite) .

First, make sure you have the pics saved in
Finepix viewer. Then go to your CD rewriter
program. The "lay out" should look something
like Windows Explorer.( I don't know the program
you have.) Then you will select the " data to CD"
option. The program will add a header on the disc.
Now you are ready to select the pics you want to
save to disc. The pics should be in the Finepix folder.
Drag and drop your pics on the header (you created
on the new disc.) When you are finished, click on the
"copy or write" icon. These steps may be different in
your program, "but if all else fails click on the help icon."
Hope this helps.

P.S. Nobody sounds dumb, everyone has questions
now and again.

Tina,
If you are using the Nero Burning Rom software, it is as easy as Drag-n-Drop that we normally do in the Windows Explorer.
All you have to do is Run the Nero sofware, it got two partitions (like explorer), usually the left one is the CD Writer's, drag the pics from right partion to the left and when done, press the "write" button. That's about it.

You can download the evalution copy of Nero from the below link,

http://nero.com/en/index.html

hope this helps

Are you saving the photos to your hard drive? What version burning software are you using?

Tina,

Since you already have the pictures on your hard drive, try putting a blank CD-R disk in your CD-RW drive. Windows will automatically launch the program associated with CD recording. Hopefully the program (Nero or Easy CD Creator) is intutive enough for you to use.

thanks everyone! Sorry, I've been away for a few days.

Anyway, I have Easy CD Creator. From all ya'lls excellent instructions I was able to get the pix from my hard drive to a blank CD-RW. BUT......I dont' know what exactly happened. The pictures came out wrong. Imagine a pic, then divide it into 4 squares, then mix them up. That's what my pictures look like!!! Why can't I get this right??? I've always been able to copy music CD's with no problems at all! Any more suggestions???

Thanks! Tina
