When the hyperfocal distance is, let's say, 52ft 3in is it just a questimation where 52ft 3 in isor is there a way to acually focus at that distance.

Use the lens distance markings to get in the ball park for the distance you need.

Hyperfocal distance when set starts 1/2 the distance focused and goes to infinity.
