Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this...but I am getting back into photography again (it has been a lllooooonnnng time) and I used to send away for my prints but I can't remember who I used. Can anyone recommend a place that has good quality prints?

Thanks,

If you search, there are a number of threads on this topic. Several people have done comparisons of different web-based printers. I believe Winkflash was the favorite but there are a number of others that people are happy with. I happen to be a fan of winkflash. They charge 0.16 a print (4x6) and .99 shipping (regardless of order size). They print on Fuji crystal archive paper which I'm told (I'm only repeating here) - is very high quality paper. I have been very happy with the results from Winkflash.

Sorry I'm not a pro - so I can't answer that.

Professional prints? If you mean 20x30 prints suitable for matting and framing, no (they don't do prints that size). I think their max size is 11x14. I've been impressed with their quality (they seem a little darker to me than what I submit, but that may be due to my use of a Mac and Mac monitor with corresponding higher gamma). I would say that their quality would rival what I would expect from a professional photographer.

Snapfish does "poster prints" but they are definitely poster finish... (and they have kind of precarious shipping).

Lots of people like Ofoto... they're expensive.

Take a look at this review I did a few months back.

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...ight=winkflash

I found Winkflash to be the best quality. If you are looking to get some pano's printed, I use ezprints.com. I have also seen their poster pics and they are pretty good. ezprints.com also has a "pro" section.

I tend to find ofoto to be a little on the magenta side.

Hope this helps a bit.
