Default Airport X-Ray Machines

I know this may sound like a very silly question... But you know what they say... This is my first time travelling with my digital camera, and I want to make sure that the new X-Ray machines will not damage any data or anything on the CF card...

Is this correct?

I just returned from a trip to Phoenix, AZ and the camera or media was not damaged when it went through airport screening.

Thats true, it wont be harmed. I believe you also have the right to have your camera and film hand searched and if they give you problems with this , ask for a supervisor.

I might be concerned if I had a microdrive in my pocket and they started waving one of those induction loop detectors over me!
