Default Need help in choosing/buying a camera...

hey guys..
i'm in the market for a christmas present, looking to spend ~200 +/-
i've narrowed it down to the following cameras:

1. Sony DSC-P31
2. Fuji A303
3. Canon S200
4. Olympus A40

Which would you guys recommend? If neither, can you
recommend something similar to those? I like the
sleekness of the S200 in particular.
Thanks in advance.

First of all, Olympus does not make the 'A40', it is a 'Canon' model. It has 2 mp and 3x optical zoom and is available in the low $200 range. The Canon 'S200' is a digital variation of the 'Elph', which makes it 'very small' and easy to carry in your pocket. The S200 only has a 2x optical zoom and is more money, but you have to weigh the advantages of each camera. I would also consider the Olympus D510Z, which has 3x zoom and is priced below the $200 mark, an excellent starting camera!
Or, move up to an excellent Olympus D550Z, with 3 mp, for under $270...http://www.niceelectronics.com/digit...?discr5557.htm...once you've clicked on the above link, click on 'digital cameras' on the left options list, and then 'scroll down' to select 'Oly D550'...blessings, Johnny

I'd be tempted by the Omlympus D-550 .. a tad more expensive but worth it looking at the specs.

For the next 3 days, Officemax has an 'in store special', they're selling the D550Z for $299, with a 'free' 64 mb smartmedia card', a $34.95 savings. Hard to beat that deal, and you will need the card.
