Default printing pictues from digital camrecoder gl1

I have a Canon gl1 and have captured digital video to my computer on the firewire card. The file is a mov file. I would like to print a picture off of the file. I do the photo shot on the camera and I would like to print that shot. What do I need?

Default VLC will do it well -

VLC will play nearly any video file and press 'snapshot' key (I've forgotten which one it is for a snapshop) and an
image in JPG, or other formates like PNG or even BMP and GIF will be taken and placed in the folder of your choice.

The images will be incremented as you desire. They can be
any resolution that you desire.

Then printing them will be as easy as any print of an image.

MSPAINT will print BMP files so if you save to BMP MSPAINT will print it.

Plus VLC is invaluable for most things video.

Media Player Classic also allows you to save any frame as a .jpeg, so you can edit and print in any photo editor.
