Default o. k. to leave card in camera

As you can tell, I'm new to this. Want to know if it is ok to leave the memory in the camera indefinately?

IMHO, not only is it OK - it is a good idea to use the cameras USB to download. Handling is the major source of memory problems: if you don't handle it, you are less likely to have problems. With care, you aren't likely to have problems in any case so that isn't a big enough issue to avoid using a card reader if that is much faster or you have some other reason.

You probably should take it out once or twice per year to reseat the connections.
