In the focus menu you an set the focus to: multi af, single, af, 5m, 3m, 7m and Infinity.

Does infinity mean that everything from a certin point is in focus??? sorta like a disposable cam??

yes, optically, the lens is set to reproduce the image of the scene (at infinity) exactly on the film plane (or the CCD, or any picture capture device) , not behind, not in front of it.

But because of the opening of the lens is reduceddepending onthe aperture setting (F stop), objects nearer than infinity are still propely focused. That's why at "infinity setting", we can capture great landscape scene and subjects which are not too close, and having the advantage of "zero focusing delay" (disposable cam has "zero focusing delay" :G)
