Default What cameras are good for action shots?

I'm interested in updating my Canon S100 to something new, because I am having trouble getting good action pictures (mainly blur and what have you occurs) I am trying to take pictures of my puppy and she runs around too much and when she does tricks it is hard to get any good pictures without them blurring. My best bet would be to go get a disposable camera. I understand the price of cameras to do take such pictures are extremely expensive. But what camera are good for taking action shots as such - for a reasonable price? Thank for taking the time to read this. And I know the S100 will not work well with action shots

Thanks for the reply, I will take a look into the specs on those camera. Here at the lab we use Kodak DC290 for pictures of evidence. At the time they were one of the better cameras. Well, I have to get back to some case work. Thanks again. If anyone has any other suggestions, they are more then welcome. I am still a newbie.
