I love this photo. I'm a big fan of "close cropping" faces, especially on photos of children and babies. I think too many new photogs want to get the entire body of the person in the picture instead of concentrating on what's really important...the face and expression.

For me, the light is a bit too bright and therefor there is a loss of detail on the right side of the face (our left.) I also would have cropped a bit less. But that is personal preference.

Default cute pic

From what I see, this is one nice pic overall.

I would have left more of the face in the pic, bu thats just me.

Default Love it

I love it. I try to take major close ups of my daughter as well. See below. Also, just try not to let her see the LCD on the back. I made the mistake of showing my 2 year old and now whenever I pull out the camera she wants to look at the back. So now close ups are really hard to get.

Criticize my photo
Ok, it's rubbish - just kidding, couldn't resist

Too close for my liking - not very flattering but it's sharp and unusual and eyes in focus.

Very nice photo! I think the lighting is a little harsh in the upper left corner, but it was necessary to bring out the details in the shadows. Experiment with bounce flash, fill-in flash or reflected light to achieve a softer lighting effect.
