Default Canon A70 and movie

I'm completly new to digi cameras and am looking for some opions on my first camera. I was thinking I want something at the 3MP and read some good reviews on the A70. I was wondering If this camera has good movie quality for the 3MP range or if there is a better one in this range. And is the memory this camera takes good.I will be mostly using this camera for taking pics of the kids and movies clips of the kids. Also is it possible to burn a movie clip from this camera on a cd and play it in my dvd player. It plays VCD's. Thanks alot for the reply's

The video clip feature is one of the better I've seen, up to three minutes in 32ox240. But remember, if you want video, buy a camcorder because vid on cameras is just a bonus and will be nowhere near as good as a camcorder. Despite this, however, if you want the clip feature, the a70 is in my opinions of of the best 3mp cameras made and you will probably be very happy with it.

The A70 also does 640x480 movies with audio.

Now depending how large your CF card is, determines how long you want your video, and what size you want it at.

I small clip on my a60 camera took about 10Mb in size. They are saved as a AVI file too

hummm.......... on the Canon website, it says:

"Individual movie clips are limited to 3 minutes maximum per clip."

So i guess even if you have a 256 memory card, you're still limited to a maximum of 3 minutes per video clip....

I guess the Sony's doesnt have that limitation.

but again, we're are talking about cameras, not camcorders, right?? ;-)

PEACE
