Default Help the silly girl figure her silly camera out PLEASE!!!!!

 I feel silly asking this question, but hopefully there is an obvious answer. I have a sony 2.1 cybershot. Everytime I download the pictures, 2 sets of pictures come up and I have to delete the 2nd set by checkmarking them all off, its annoying, also I went to Walmart to make prints and the 2nd set of photos comes up and the only way to delete them is to do so one by one. There must be a setting on the camera to delete these from ever coming up? Help sincerely appreciated!!!!

What model Sony is it? Have you accidentally turned on the Burst mode, some sony cameras take 2 and some take 3 shots in burst mode. There is no other reasonable explanation that I know of.

You could also have it set on email mode, which will take save 2 pics, one a email size one, and one a normal size one.

I have had the same problem using a SONY Mavica FD-73. Like macleod76 said, there is an email mode that makes duplicate pictures, resized for emailing, in the Email subdirectory on the disk. Just look through all of you menu settings and disable this setting to save only the full size pics to disk.

Seriously, there's people out there who don't read the manual. I'm just glad you're not one of them.

Default Silly question

I had 3 diferent models of mavica including 71, 81 etc. The three models put two files of each shot. If you look at the icon you will see they are different. You can open one but the other I think is a windows file. Its icon is ligther than the one you can open. I also have to deleat the file that I dont need. I dont know if this is programble but I dont find anywere in the instruction that talk about this particular.
