Hi,
I'm new to this forum, but i've had my coolpix 5700 for about 4 years now. I am interested in buying a lense for it but have no clue what to buy. I usually shoot amature photography (people and architecture and some close ups) Help me pick one out so i dont get ripped off on ebay. Thanks! |

Nikon makes a .8x wide-angle converter (WC-E80) and a 1.5x telephoto converter (TC-E15ED). Likely these are high-quality lenses but are fairly expensive. I don't remember exactly, but I think they are in the $100.00-130.00 range. On top of that, they want you to buy a lens adapter ring (UR-E) to mount them to the camera. I think this is around $35.00.
If you want to use screw-on +/- diopter lenses that attach like a filter, check out this link: http://www.nextphoto.net/5700.htm They don't provide the lenses, but they make quality filter -- and other types -- of add-on adapters for the 5700. I can't say anything about the types or quality of third-party add-on lenses, but nextphoto's mounting accessories are well-made and reasonably priced. Grant |
