Hi,
I was wondering whether Coolpix 5400 could be plugged into PC or TV to see live image. The idea is to look at much larger screen (and not small LCD on the camera itself) do adjust settings such as focus. I need it for my microscopy. Thanks, Kris |

Yes. All Coolpix cameras and most every digicam other than dSLRs that have a video out feature can do this. The Olympus E-330 and the newly announced E-410 and E-510 are dSLRs that also feature LiveView but they are the exception to the rule. I use a Coolpix 8700 here to take the pictures of the cameras that we review and it is plugged into a 15" LCD monitor that is hanging on the wall by my photo stand. Sure beats squinting at a tiny oncamera LCD.
