While trying to solve this issue, I downloaded RAD Tools, for converting MOV to AVI.

http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm

I don't know about older versions, but latest one has feature that removes lag. When you choose "Convert a file" you'll see screen full of options.Find "Start Input at (ms)" in"ConvertAudio" section and enter270. That should be it - conversion to AVI + lag removal.

Even better this setting is saved so you don't have to enter it every time.

Hope this helps.
