Default Coolpix 4500 Telephoto

I'm a newbie to digital photography. I've had the camera for a month now and can see that I need some kind of telephoto lens. Is a telephoto lens an option or will I have to get something else?

There are two Nikon options for the CP4500 and also a 5x lens that 's sold by EagleEye optics. I ended up getting the EagleEye 5x lens but I'm still experimenting with it. It's also had a good review on this forum.

There are many tele-converters for Coolpix 950/990/995/4500. Nikon made two: TC-E2 2X and TC-E3ED 3X which are the best. There are also monoscope type converters. Popular ones include EagleEye 5X (too expansive), Kenko 6X, Kenko KUT 820 (8X), Kenko KUT832 (8X) and CrystalVuew SharpShooter 8X. There are some other converters, made by Kenko, Tiffen, Phoenix, etc. But, they are not as good (and as expansive) as the Nikon's. Check the Converter Lens page and Kenko 6X and CrystalVuew 8X page of my 4500 user guide for further details.
