The Nikon P-80 has continued to frustrate me. I have been shooting in the P mode and have been disappointed in my photos. So as an experiment today I shited over to the green camera icon, meaning full auto and found that the camera not only produced better, but also sharper photos with better WB.

Here is a sample from today's shots. Erick, do you have any idea why this switch made such a measurable difference??

Hi, Sarah! It's been a while. I haven't check this thread until now. Any development on your P80? As for my P80, I've been stucked in shooting macros w/ attached closeup filters and a DIY flash diffuser. I've been looking for a slave flash to get some control on my subjects lighting. Have you explore this possibility? I'll try to post some of my new pics on the coming days.

If you don't mind paying more for an overwhelming amount of features, go for the Sony. If you want it more simple but functional, go for the Nikon. You won't go wrong with any of the three. It might just go down to megapixels and smile shutter!
