Today I received a refurbished Nikon S6000. Thus far it has exceeded my expectations by a wide margin, making it quite a bargain.
I have attached a photo of my husband so you can see the image quality. Sarah Joyce ![]() Last edited by mtclimber; Mar 15, 2011 at 7:37 PM. |

The Nikon S6000 continues to impress. Today I shot some macros/close-ups with flash. The flash reduced its output nicely. I also reduced the 14mp output to 8mp and was impressed with the results. What do you think??

The Nikon S6000 retains it image quality up to, and including ISO 800. The the noise begins to creep in even more. So ISO 800 imo is the top of the shop. I have attached a photo sample.

Here is another no flash/existing light shot with the S6000 at ISO 800. I took it while shopping today in our supermarket's Floral Department. It is a Cyclamen plant, and I loved the color. The color in the photo is spot on.

And here is an informal portrait of my husband. It is also no flash/existing light at ISO 800.

I do find these impressive for not being dSLR. Color and detail looks spot on for jpeg shots as well. Thanks for sharing this..

Viz-
When you consider that B&H is closing brand new Nikon S-6000 camera out at less than $100, and they off 720p video and 7X (28mm to 199mm) zoom, it makes an inexpensive back-up camera. Sarah Joyce |
