Default Nikon 5700...yes or no

I'm going to buy the 5700 this week-end. I'm looking for the camera with the best picture quality on the market and with SLR style viewfinder. Don't like LCD's.
Does anybody wants to convince me that I make the right choice or talk me into another camera (I still got the F707 and minolta 7i in the back of my head)

You've got to good to a good dealer who will let you try all possibilities, never buy a camera on anybodys say so.
I like the look, feel and picture quality of Nikon equipment.
I am sure advocates of Minolta or Sony are persuaded buy the qualities of thier particular choice.
As I used to say to my old girl friends " you've got to suck it & see"

Thanks for the reply,
I've been to a few dealers and one of the main reasons i would opt for the 5700 is it's feel, the F707 feels a bit funny and unbalanced and the 7i, well euh, I usually don't go for looks but in this case....
I was a bit concerned about leaving the lens exposed without a filter but I just saw your magnifiscent work in another post. I feel a bit hessitant though that I would have to start filing on a brand new camera…or do you have to file down the threads of the filter?
