Default Nikon Coolpix 3700 v Canon Powershot A70

Was wondering if you could help this first time buyer with his dilemna. Having just decided on the Canon Powershot A70 over the Nikon Coolpix 3100 a friend alerted me to the fact that the 3700 was on sale in the local shop.
Now I;ve no idea which one to choose. The price difference is that of a 128mb card with the Canon being cheaper.

Many thanks in advance.

Default Mmmmm....

Both they are good...

Canon A70 CCD is smaller than Nikon CP 3700.... :?

Nikon CP 3700 is newer.

Personaly I would choose the Nikon.

But read the reviews may be CP 3700 has more feature....

Actually the A70 has the same size CCD as the 3700. (1/2.7").

The A70 has much more manual controls than the 3700 but the A70 is a lower line of camera, it's bulkier, plasticier, heavier, lower res monitor and comes with no rechargable batteries. The Nikon 3700 is more comparable with Canon's Elph\IXUS line.

I just got a camera, it's the 3700... .

The only camera that I would get instead of the Nikon 3700 would be the Nikon 5200 but it's not out yet.

I received the 3700 today. I also have the 3100 and that is why I'm still sticking with Nikon. I was going to get the 3200 but the 3700 caught my eye because of it's rechargable lithium-ion battery and excellent reviews from Steve and PC World magazine.
