Okay so I'm a newbie looking to upgrade an old Olympus DL500 with a Coolpix 995..here's the rub.
I know it has NTSC/PAL outputs (selectable)..can I use this as a live preview hooked to a monitor before I take a pic (not a movie) in other words use the monitor instead of the LCD. The reason being I want to use it for some microphotography and focusing using the small LCD screen would'nt be much fun and of course hard on my old eyeballs. Peace Zuukz |

Sure can, no problem. All of the Coolpix cameras with video out have the capability of sending that video to a monitor when in Record or Play mode.
