I need to do long bulb exposures so I am thinking about buying the remote. I met someone the other day who said he used the remote with the 5400 and had some strange problems with it, like images taking 3 or 4 times the normal time to save. Has anyone used the remote with the 5700 and had any problems?
Also, I have seen references to a remote for the 5700 as well as a remote cable. Are there two different remotes (the Nikon website only shows the cable). What is the benefit to buying a cable remote over a wireless remote? -Eric |

I have also been looking into purchasing the remote. I have not heard of a wireless remote for the 5700. I know the description of the wire remote provides you more control over the camera than any wireless remote I have had experience with.
