Default Resets DO pay off

I was getting some rather dismal results from the Nikon (soft, dull, a little grainy) so, I did a reset. See what you think.

Reset = Return to defaults? If so, how could that improve IQ? I tend to think that most of the time, these resets are superstition only, maybe you can enlighten me in his case, I'm open.

Some folks... well, ME... tend to "tweak" stuff. In the process, things get a little "over-tweaked" or one setting tends to affect another negatively. When that happens, IQ tends to suffer. Sometimes a fresh start helps out.
