Hi all,

Im new to the world of panoramic photography, and slowly building up the equipment that I require. Hopefully I'll have some panos to show off very soon!

I have a question about using bracketing on the D50.

I plan on taking 4+1+1 photos with a 10.5 nikon fisheye to create spherical panos. Id like to play around with Photomatix too, so the plan is to take 3 bracketed shots, and then rotate the camera to the next position.

How do I ensure the "normal" exposed photohas the same exposure on each of the 6 positions I shoot in? IOW, can you have bracketing and exposure lock activated simultaneously?

Can someone explain by referring to the buttons and the settings on the menu

of the camera.

The manual does not explain this clearly, if at all.

Thanx in advance!

Two easy solutions:

#1: M mode, set exposure using the internal meter, set desired bracketing and shoot.

#2: P, A, or S mode, set AE-Lock Hold mode from menus, lock exposure, set desired bracketing and shoot.

Don't forget to clear the lock before moving on to the next scene!
