Hi All, I am new to this forum as I have been using a Panasonic fz5 for the last several months. (New to photography also..lol) My husband suprised me with a dslr Nikon D50 as he realized how much I love photograhy. Here are the first pictures out of my new Nikon D50. I used a Nikon lens 70-300mm handheld. I hope that you enjoy them. bentleysmom

Very nice photos. Vivid colors, sharp focus and looks like you have plenty of beautiful winged subjects to capture. And what a nice husband. I have to buy my own photo gear (with my lovely wife's blessing of course) But she doesn't understand my love of photography. She just thinks I'm a bit looney...which of course I am, but that's another story. Keep enjoying the art of photography and you'll never tire of it. Woody

I also switched from FZ20 to D50 with Nikkor 80-400 VR. I am very happy with the combo. Now I could take bird pictures at dawn even flying birds. This flying Painted Stork was taken with D50 + 80-400VR hand held.

Sorry but those two look soft. The last one has blown highlights.
