please if you can, give me in your personal opinion
based on usage of both give me a reason to sell my D100 and buy a D70s. i am the owner of 2 D100's. I am without a doubt going for the D200 and will absolutely sell 1 D100. I want a second body all the time. should i trade in the other D100 and get the D70 as a second body? would be very very very interested in your experiences. thanks gl |

I have a D100, I shot with a friends D70 and I also used another friends D2X. All I can say is I'm keeping My D100.
All three cameras take excellent pictures but the D100 is way much better feeling to me and with the MB100 battery pack I can use "AA" battery's in a pinch. It is just an easyer camera to change settings and control. The D70 and the D2X are just to complicated with all of the extra crap I will never ever need or use. D2X is very, very heavy to lug around. Why don't you just wait until the D200 is out. You may decide you want two of them or keep your two D100's. |

I think I would get a D70s while selling off one of the D100s because:
1. The image quality is so much better (especially noise) and 2. I would have a new camera that should last longer - just because it's newer. Although I think the D100 is very well built. As for selling one to upgrade to a D200, I would wait until I saw some tests and reviews to make sure the quality is what I want. Even then I would wait untill the forth software upgrade - that way I know they've worked out the bugs in the system. Don't let the googoo gaagaa of holding the newest, latest model of a camera go to you head, or wallet. |

I've used both G versions of the Nikon 28-200 and the 70-300, and for me it was the 28-200mm hands down. The ED glass in it keeps your fringing in control, the zoom is as fast, and it's just more versatile. If you can do without the extra zoom legnth, the 28-200 is a fantastic low cost lens.
