Advice for new lens for my D7000

I purchased a D7000 last month and I love it. I bought it with the 18-105 kit lens which is great for me as a general lens but I would like to get a macro lens. With my old Canon I used to have a Tamron 1:2 macro which i loved but I would like a true 1:1 macro.

I am looking at a few lenses on Ebay and I would love your thoughts on which would be the better lens

1 - Nikon micro 105mm f2.8
2 - Tamron SP272E 90mm f2.8 Di

I am leaning towards the Nikon but I have read some good reviews of the Tamron, which would you choose.

Both of very good lenses. I use the Tamron 90mm on a D7000 and previously on a D80 and have no complaints. Most of the shots here were shot using the 90mm http://www.flickr.com/photos/3055068...7625058796666/

The 105 will give you slightly more working room and the 90 should save you money. If working distance isn't an issue the Nikon 60mm and Sigma 50mm macro lenses are also worth a look.

There are no bad macro lenses, so you can't go wrong either way.

Another option is to look at the stabilized Nikon 105/2.8 and 85/3.5, the newer Tamron 90/2.8, and the Sigma 105/2.8. Image stabilization isn't very effective at 1:1, but at lower magnification ratios, having it is better than not having it.
