Very nice looks like the new D500 plus the Sigma are a great match.

Normally @ 600mm it's quite difficult to locate a small flying target, but since this lens is a true zoom, one can zoom out to find the bird and zoom back in to center the frame without loosing any focus!

-> The 120-300 f/2.8 zoom which you and I share for example is a varifocal instead and will not maintain focus when zooming in and out. Check it out (its distance scale is also blanked out on the lens barrel) ;)
