Is the d60 discontinued? A local store where I live told me that it was discontinued?

Hello,
Rumour has it that this Tuesday (Apr 14th) Nikon is announcing their new entry level dSLR, which I am assuming is the replacement for the D60. If rumours are true, it will have a tilt-out-screen? http://www.ubergizmo.com/15/archives...next_week.html Take care, Glen ![]() |

I can't wait to read about it.
I wonder what else, besides the tilt-out-screen it's got! Take care, Glen ![]() |

I am hoping it has video as well as the ability to attach a GPS.

I don't think the D60 is discontinued. But, Nikon has announced a new D5000 model, which appears to use the Sony 12MP CMOS sensor found in the D90 and D300 (making it the least expensive dSLR available with this sensor). Suggested retail in the U.S. will be $729.95 (body only price) according to Nikon USA. A kit with the 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AF-S VR lens is $849.95
