Hello everybody!
Just a little question: What are the effects of the noise reduction on the image quality? Is there any loss or any other unwanted effect (on colours, sharpness, etc.) when you decide to shoot with the noise reduction? Thanks in advance for your answer. Best regards Jerome |

I personally prefer to deal with noise after the fact. I use Noise Ninja and it does a pretty good job. I do have my camera set to apply NR on long exposures and it seems to do just fine. If definitely slows things down though.

Yes, as noise reduction is increased, resolution/sharpness is lost. This is not a problem just with Nikon its just the law of digital imaging.
