How to change file names in the D3100/3200?
I'll be taking dozens or hundreds of photos before I can download them and I need to keep track of those images which I intend to stitch into panoramas. From what I've been told, the best way to do that is to manually rename the files as I take the pictures. How do you rename files on the D3100, or is there a better way to keep track of those images other than buying the Sony NEX 5N?:)

I'd say that switching the folder you want to store your soon-to-be-pano shots in, and switching back when you're done, would be better than trying to type with the Multiselector.

Okay, I suspected changing file names would be the right approach, but I still don't know how many steps are involved. I wonder if that's better than having a camera that creates it's own panoramas. I'll do some Google and find out what "typing to the Multiselector" means. My ignorance runneth over my cup.
Thanks for your reply TCav. |
