All,
I have a D50 and I mainly shoot sport car shots and racing events. It is just for my personal use but I am looking for a quality lense to suit this sort of shooting. I will be going to a NHRA Drag racing event soon and would like to test it at this event. I have about 800 dollars saved up to spend. Here are some other even shots I have taken. And I link to my other pictures. http://www.digitalrage.org/coppermin...m=9&pos=33 http://www.digitalrage.org/coppermin...=9&pos=412 |

For about that much you can pick up the Sigma 70-200 EX HSM f2.8 lens. It doesn't have the VR feature of the Nikkor but at a race track your shutter speed should be plenty fast to make this a non issue. It also doesn't lighten your wallet as much as the Nikkor. The Sigma lenses that feature the HSM are quite nice - great glass.
