My trip is coming to an end.

Well, my days in Marco Island are fast approaching their end. My wife and I are
planning our trip north and will be heading home this Thursday.

In the meantime, I've been busy trying to visit each of my favorite stops in the hopes of capturing that 'magical' shot. So far, nothing spectacular. But, I'm having fun none the less;

Hi Zig,

What a fantastic set of pictures you posted, 1-5-7 are my favorite.

Good luck in your travel to home.

Hi Zig,

I agree with MarceloLI in that they are great images with the sunset being my favourite.
I have one question for you if you dont mind and that is:
How or what is the process that you use to post here. Reason I ask is your images
always look so good. Mine tend to look different than how they are on my computer.
Noteing that your camera skills are great and that is the be all and end all but they still have to look good when you post here which yours do.

I hope i didnt bumble too much.
Have a safe trip home :-)

All great shots Zig (all magical to me)! Good use of your 70-200 + TC.

Hi Flasha,

First off, thanks for your kind words.
All my photos are stored on smugmug.com, a photo hosting site. From there, I copy the image address when attaching a photo into a thread. Whaat is the process you use?

Hi Marcelo/Paniolo,

Thank you both for taking the time to look and comment. As always, much appreciated.

Hi Zig
I use Lightroom and then export to jpg at 1024 1024 andstore on hard drive and from there I start thread and attach photo.

Might have to try posting from a hosting site like flicker I guess !

....hi Zig,

I spent all of last weekend at our local arts festival and saw some masterfully done photography displayed.

The last of these certainly would have fit well there, I love it.

Be safe on your journey home.....

Hi Flasha,

Just thought I'd pass onto you that my 'set picture control' is set at vivid. My in-camera sharpness setting is +4.

I also use Adobe Camera RAW to edit my images. You should be able to access Camera RAW from your Lightroom program. I find that I do almost all of my critical post processing i.e. clarity, exposure, white balance, contrast adjustments in ACR. CS5, for me, is used to do final cropping and leveling.

Hope that helps.

Am I to understand that you can change picture controls even if you are shooting raw.I always thought that was for jpegs.
I mean I only shoot raw nowdays coz you can do more with the post processing although I am not that good atm but am hoping to improve like all the rest.
