Nikon D-50 be careful

I was in the store today (Cord Camera) and a lady that had just bought a D-50 a few weeks ago was sitting there at the kiosk ordering her pictures when she knocked her camera off of the desk on the floor. After inspecting it, it messed up the curtain on the camera. Its going to cost her $275 to fix it. Raising the mirror and trying to see the sensor you can see the curtain with a bend in it as its trying to move. I feel so sorry for this young woman. Just felt sick for her.. Xmas coming and all. Anyway just a shout out to everyone to be careful with there cameras. In a unthinking instant it can be damaged. And ruin the fun..and cost a lot of $$$ to fix. Nikon prob isnt going to cover her problem as it doesn't cover dropping it.

It's always when I'm being my most careful that I end up dropping stuff. I tend to concentrate so much on one thing that I knock something else over. :?

I see a lot of people set the camera down and let the strap hang over the end of a table or whatever they set the camera on. If the strap is moved the camera will fall so ALWAYS,ALWAYS,ALWAYS wrap the strap close to the camera so nothing can snag it.
