Hello everyone !
I'm the happy owner of a Nikon D50 camera but my son broke the LCD screen used to display the menu and the pictures ... It displayed nothing, except white light when it powered on. So I decided to replace it by myself. I removed the broken screen and replaced it by a new one. But the new LCD does not work as expected ![]() It displays menu and pictures but it is very very dark... as if the 'back-light' is missing or out of order. Do you know what's going wrong ? Does it come from the LCD or the camera itself ? Should I miss something ? Thanks in advance for your response ![]() Rob Last edited by robigne; Feb 7, 2013 at 9:33 AM. |

was the new screen a genuine nikon part?
i only ask because i once changed the screen on a monitor with a very cheap 3rd party screen only to find that the brightness now worked in reverse. |

Of course, I guess the new screen is not a genuine nikon part. I bought it on eBay
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nikon-D50-LC.../360544388520? I requested them some support ... |
