![]() I own the Nikon D80 and recently purchased the new Nikon SB-400 speedlight to use with my Nikon 18-200mm lens (built-in flash causes lens shadow). My Nikon D80 is set-up on "P" and the flashsettings are all set at default. During a sequence of shots (leaving time for the SB-400 to recycle, every now and then, I get a dark picture (indoor pic) even though the flash fired. Any idea why? |

Post some examples, it's near impossible to tell otherwise.

Easy ! The flash did not fully charge. Sometimes the light will come on but you still need to wait another second or so for the falsh to fully charge. This is all brands of flash's not just the SB-40.
