NYC after 9-11 changed so much and the restrictions for photographer are many, I noticed also the signs but I never had any problem while taking pictures on/of the bridges. |

You'd like the D500, which I have, that replaced the D300 (about 7 years late). Awesome camera.

Ah... Stunning shot Marcelo! Could you tell me how you got that shot, settings and all... the best I could do was this one at Reflection Lakes last fall:

Jack,
Basically you need a wide angle with an aperture of 2.8 or 1.4 in the best case, a tripod, a place with out light pollution, shoot at high ISO - 3200 or higher and long exposures - I usually use 20 or 25 secedes max to avid starts trails. Identify where is the Milky Way, set the tripod, use manual focus because in deep darkness imposible to auto focus. try some shoots and make sure the starts are sharp. The exif info for this picture is the following: ISO 3200, 25 seconds, f2.8, 14mm. You will find great info in the following link: https://petapixel.com/2016/01/16/how...the-milky-way/ Let me know if you have questions. Marcelo |

Thanks so much for the info Marcelo!
![]() I plan to use that info to get some night shots at Mt Rainier and Mt Adams this summer. I got some nice moon shots at Mt Adams and when I go again this year I'm afraid I'll have full moon again that will ruin the start shots? About five pics down, you'll see several moon shots over the mountain I got. http://1-4u-computer-graphics.com/Mt...khlakhLake.htm
