sensor cleaning

looking for a good product to clean my sensor with. people say this one is good

Well, I can only say that if that system is designed for sensor cleaning that it has to better than the Q-tip and alcohol I used. The Q-tip and alcohol worked just fine with absolutely no noticeable side effects. There was another post today to your own earlierthreadfrom someone praising the system to which you refer.

You may also want to consider the new C02 dusters for sensor cleaning as well. You can view such a kit @

They are not the only distributors of such kits however, and you can shop around for one ( mine cost around $28.00) @ a lens & shutter outlet.

I personally have a problem wiping anything on the sensor ... logic dictates that eventually,even the smallest dust particles are abrasive to some extend and will in time scratch the sensor as you wipe them off. How long this would take or how much damage it will cause over time I am not sure.

I would however, ( if the C02 dusting does not work adequately ) consider using the wiping methoed with a good quality kit such as the one you are considering because there really is no other alternative.

I only use Visible Dust's cleaning tools:http://www.visibledust.com Not cheap, but does the job really well and simple enough. I've been using the sensor brush for nearly a year, no problems (read: NO scratches what so ever), only a clean sensor (the filter on top of it anyway). Recently I've added their sensor cleaning kit, using polyester swabs and their liquid formula for dust/smudge problems that the sensor brush alone can not tackle. Peace of mind is priceless.
