Simon,
Fantastic set, those are very sharp pictures and the DOF is great. I noticed you are using F2.2 and I like the results. The 50mm 1.8 is an amazing lens, are you using the D or G version? Regards. Marcelo |

Hi Marcelo... I was using the "G".
I used f/2.2 as it just offers a fraction more sharpness than fully wide open and just enough DOF to keep a single runner sharp throughout... though I usually use f/2.5- but the lighting was quite poor on the day,so 2.2 it was to keep the iso as low as possible with a decent shutter speed... ![]() Last edited by SIMON40; Nov 24, 2013 at 5:37 PM. |

I can echo Marcelo here. Excellent series of shots.
Those folk looked like they were having so much fun... ![]() I hiked up the Snowdon trail...once. The 50 pound pack and rifle without a sling added to my enjoyment. My granddad used to work the slate at Llanberis. Couple of years back. ![]()

Those are some realy nice shots and I recognise some of the faces from the London Marathon. You gotta be nuts to be running a marathon this time of year !
