I just purchased my D50 a week ago (love the camera) and I just noticed a funny sound the camera makes as you tilt it from side to side. It sounds like there is something loose inside (sounds plasticy) as you tilt the camera from landscape to portrait.
I don't know if it has done this since day one, but I just now noticed it. I had a thought that it is some kind of sensor that identifies the orientation of the camera (vertical or horizontal) so the "rotate tall" function will work when shooting in portrait. Any ideas or shouldI exchange the camera? Thanks! |

Do not worry, it's supposed to have that sound. It's the portrait sensor as you already guessed.
