As the title says, I've been getting darker images on the D70s.
Look at the photo. I would like to get brighter photos from the settings.

Any idea whats wrong?

The second photo is from picasa....

maybe can load the curve to the D70 to make the thing look bright.

There is a lot gray and muted tones in the image. It looks like the camera exposed for the dogs white hair, and by preventing it from blowing, toned down the whole exposure, resulting in the grayish look. You may want to overexpose by 2/3 a stop or so when focusing on a mostly white object, to bring out more shadow detail.

While your modified picture is brighter, it has also burnt out quite a bit of detail in the dog's fur.
