In Steve's conclusion he reports inablilty to achieve 3fps continuous shooting. Anyone else with D80 seen this? Is there a setting(s) that needs to change to get this speed. Not a deal breaker, but I am concerened as I will be shooting some action. Thanks

Hi,
If you have the "long exposure noise reduction" setting enabled from the menu , continuous shooting speed goes down to around 2fps. Once its disabled , the continuous shooting rate is back up to 3fps. The strange thing is that according to the manual , noise reduction should only kick in at slow shutter speeds (8s and above) . Its evident that the setting is doing something even at very fast shutter speeds.

Thanks for confirming that. I read that in another review and wondered if Steve knew about it. Maybe he should add a line about it in the review if he hasn't already. Nikon should fix this in a firmware update I believe.
