Clippy-

I won a Cameta Demo auction on eBay this summer for a Demo D50 + 2-set kit lens. Body appears as new with 169 prior actuations. The new Tamron 17-70 lens was on back order so I opted for upgrading to a Demo Nikkor 18-70 DX lens. Great firm, pricing and service....

I have purchased things from them with no problems at all. They provided fast service and the items were all as described.

Ronnie.

Cameta is actually quite famous on here as being the best ebay camera store. I've purchased 3 times from them, and only heard good things. They seem to have reasonably good deals all the time, which made me suspicious at first, but they have been perfect.

bought from cameta a couple of years ago. they misread the shipping adress so i had to wait an extra wekk or so for the camera to arrive. the extra shipping costs were supported by cameta. other than that everything went smooth. just don't buy into their "bonus" accessories, like bags and so forth. it's just garbage.

Clippy,

I got my D50 kit from Cameta earlier this year... Felt that they offered the best deal and they are an authorized Nikon dealer.

http://www.stevesforums.com/forums/v...477823#p477823

The only gripe I had was that the packaging wasn't the best but I also know that almost every time I order something and it's shipped via UPS - the packaging somehow gets beat up...

Zygh mentioned that their bags/stuff are garbage. I got a "bundled deal" that included a spare battery,SD card, SD card reader and bag. All of those were okay as far as I was concerned and what was described was what shipped.

Moral of my story...
Got a good deal from Cameta, I'd recommend them and would order from them again and would either: a) ask for shipping via FedEx or b ask for better packaging (if either were options).
