Hi All,

I just purchased a D50 and right out of the box it has a rattle sound coming from somwhere in the body. It souds like a screw or spring maybe. Is this normal or should I exchange it. I did a search and read it could be the orientation sensor. If any other D50 owners could chime in and let me know if they have the same noise i'd appreciate it.

Thanks

You might be hearing the little swing device that senses when the camera is rotated 90 degrees for a vertical composition.

You're probably hearing the orientation sensor. When you turn the camera vertical to portait orientation, this sensor tells the software to automatically rotate the picture so you don't have to.

Hope it helps.
