Just wondered if anyone can tell whether Nikon will be introducing a battery grip for the D40? or will any other Nikon Dslr model grip fit the D40?

Thanks -Dale-

I wouldn't expect a battery grip from Nikon for the D40. Nikon hasn't traditionally released a battery grip for its entry level cameras. In addition, one of the touted features of the D40 is its small size and portability, and a battery grip would significantly increase the size of the camera. I'm sure some third party company will eventually release a grip, but its likely to lack features like a vertical shutter release. Also, because the camera is already so small, I doubt a grip would significantly improve handling.
